Fortune, Karma, Enigma-Turkish Coffee Cup Series
Project Type
PRODUCT DESIGN
Product Design · Industrial Design · Concept & CMF Exploration
This project series explores Turkish coffee culture through three distinct cup concepts: Fortune, Karma, and Enigma. Each design reinterprets the traditional practice of coffee fortune telling by combining cultural symbolism with contemporary form language and packaging design.
The series focuses on ritual-driven product design, where the user experience goes beyond functionality and becomes a cultural interaction.
Concept Approach
Turkish coffee is not only a beverage, but a shared ritual. These designs translate abstract concepts such as fate, intuition, and mystery into physical form, surface patterns, and material choices.
Each cup set is designed as both a daily-use object and a giftable product, supported by a cohesive packaging system.
Projects Overview
Fortune — A playful and graphic interpretation of fortune telling, emphasizing symbolic patterns and warm tones
Karma — A calm and balanced design language, focusing on repetition, circular forms, and harmony
Enigma — A more minimal and mysterious approach, using transparency, contrast, and subtle detailing
